Pay: $24–$29 per hour We're a busy waterfront restaurant and bar with views over the marina and the city. Locals love us for our warm, welcoming atmosphere, great food and creative cocktails. We're open seven days a week, from 11 am until late, and we're looking for front-of-house stars to join us. Part-time and fixed-term summer positions are available. You'll be part of a friendly, passionate team in a fun workplace where new ideas are welcome. Waiter - Take food and drink orders accurately, serve them and look after guests' requests - Give fast, polite service at all times and deal with any complaints - Recommend food, wine and drinks, including what goes well together - Know the menu and the daily specials inside out - Upsell by sharing your product knowledge and building a genuine rapport with guests - Confidently look after a section of several tables Ideally, you will have: - At least one year's experience as a section waiter in a restaurant - Good knowledge of food, wine and drink trends - Experience with POS systems and handling cash Bar Back Your job is to support the bar manager and bartenders and keep the bar running smoothly. - Help to make and serve drinks, from beer and wine to classic cocktails - Keep the bar stocked with ice, spirits, wine and beer - Keep the bar clean and tidy, and wash and polish glasses - Clear tables, take orders and answer guests' questions - Help with opening and closing the bar, and prepare garnishes For both roles, you'll need: - The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure - A positive, energetic and friendly personality - Excellent communication skills - A smart, tidy appearance - A willingness to take feedback and learn
