It had not rained for weeks, and a crow was almost dying of thirst. At last she found a pitcher with a little water at the bottom. But the pitcher was tall and narrow, and however hard she tried, she couldn't reach the water with her beak.
She tried to tip the pitcher over, but it was too heavy. She was about to give up when she had an idea.
She picked up a small stone and dropped it into the pitcher. Then she dropped in another, and another. With every stone, the water rose a little higher. The crow kept going, stone after stone, until at last the water came up near the top.
Then she drank until she was no longer thirsty.
Where there's a will, there's a way.
