A duck waddled into a café, hopped up onto a stool and looked at the man behind the counter. "Got any grapes?" asked the duck. The café owner frowned. "No, sorry. We don't sell grapes." "OK," said the duck, and he waddled out. The next morning, the duck came back. He hopped up onto the same stool. "Got any grapes?" "No," said the owner, a little more firmly. "I told you yesterday. We don't sell grapes." "OK," said the duck, and he waddled out. The next morning, the duck came back again. "Got any grapes?" The owner went red in the face. "Listen to me, duck. We do NOT sell grapes. We have never sold grapes. If you ask me for grapes one more time, I'm going to nail your feet to the floor!" "OK," said the duck, and he waddled out. The next morning, the duck waddled in, hopped up onto his stool and looked at the owner. "Got any nails?" "No," said the owner, confused. "Of course not. This is a café." "Good," said the duck. "Got any grapes?" The owner gave up. He went to the shop next door, bought a big bunch of grapes and put them on the counter in front of the duck. "There you go. Happy now?" The duck looked at the grapes, then at the owner. "Put them on my bill."
“Put them on my bill”既可以理解为“记在我账上”,也可以理解为“放到我嘴上”。)
