A police officer was driving along a country road when he saw a man walking down the middle of the road with a penguin. He pulled over and wound down the window.
"Sir, you can't just walk around with a penguin," he said. "Take him to the zoo."
"Good idea, officer," said the man. "I'll do that right away."
The next day, the same officer was driving down the same road, and he couldn't believe his eyes. There was the same man, walking along with the same penguin. This time the penguin was wearing sunglasses and carrying a little beach towel.
The officer stopped the car and jumped out. "I thought I told you to take that penguin to the zoo!"
"You did, officer," said the man. "And he had a fantastic time. So today we're going to the beach."
