金发姑娘和三只熊

Once upon a time, three bears lived together in a little house in the woods. There was a great big Father Bear, a middle-sized Mother Bear and a tiny little Baby Bear. One morning, Mother Bear made porridge for breakfast. It was too hot to eat straight away, so the three bears went for a walk in the woods while it cooled down. While they were out, a little girl called Goldilocks came along. She saw the house, peeped through the window and, when nobody answered her knock, she opened the door and walked in. On the table were three bowls of porridge. She tasted the porridge in the great big bowl. "This is too hot!" she said. She tasted the porridge in the middle-sized bowl. "This is too cold!" Then she tasted the porridge in the tiny little bowl. "This is just right," she said, and she ate it all up. Next, she saw three chairs. She sat in the great big chair. "This is too hard!" She sat in the middle-sized chair. "This is too soft!" Then she sat in the tiny little chair. "This is just right," she said. But she was too heavy for it, and the chair broke into pieces. By now, Goldilocks was feeling tired, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She lay on the great big bed, but it was too high at the head. She lay on the middle-sized bed, but it was too high at the foot. Then she lay on the tiny little bed. It was just right, and she fell fast asleep. Soon the three bears came home. "Someone's been eating my porridge," growled Father Bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge," said Mother Bear. "Someone's been eating my porridge," cried Baby Bear, "and they've eaten it all up!" Then they looked at the chairs. "Someone's been sitting in my chair," said Father Bear. "Someone's been sitting in my chair," said Mother Bear. "Someone's been sitting in my chair," sobbed Baby Bear, "and they've broken it!" The bears went upstairs. "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," said Father Bear. "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," said Mother Bear. "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," squeaked Baby Bear, "and she's still there!" At that moment, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears staring at her. She jumped out of bed, leapt through the window and ran home as fast as her legs could carry her. And the three bears never saw her again.
