Join a small, close-knit team that takes pride in great customer service and loves celebrating success together. Our guests are a lively mix of international travellers and visitors from all over New Zealand. We have two positions available: one full-time role of 40 hours a week on a rotating roster, and one part-time role of at least 8 hours a week, with the chance to pick up extra shifts when they come up. What you'll be doing: - Welcoming guests and making check-in and check-out quick and friendly - Answering guests' questions in person, on the phone and by email - Completing daily admin tasks and reports, and handling cash - Keeping other departments up to date on group arrivals and any special requests - Making sure guests are happy, so they come back again - Taking bookings when the reservations team is closed - Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and well presented What we're looking for: - At least one year of front-line experience in a hotel, leisure centre or shop (highly desirable) - Confidence using Microsoft Office and hotel booking systems - Good problem-solving skills, and knowing when to ask for help - Clear spoken English and good written communication - Good time management – you can juggle several tasks and meet deadlines What we offer: - Free gym membership and discounts on our other services, such as childcare and holiday programmes - Training and real opportunities to move up - Discounted staff accommodation - A friendly, community-focused workplace To apply, you must have the right to work in New Zealand and be in the country now.
